What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production + Cultivation Tech position at Zen Den Co?
Job description:
ABOUT FLOWER FIRST
At Flower First, we blend the art of cultivation with the virtues of sunshine, soil, and sustainability. Our journey is rooted in ecological farming, which has blossomed into a passion for producing sun-saturated cannabis under the Vermont sun.
Core Values:
- Love and Care: Every decision is made with love and care for the plant, our people, and the planet
- Sustainability: Commitment to sustainable cultivation practices that respect the soil and environment
- Community and Transparency: Honesty in operations and positive community engagement
- Art and Creativity: Nurturing creativity and celebrating the arts in our work and community
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Cultivation & Production Technician is a hands-on, dual-purpose role supporting both the growing operation and post-harvest production at Flower First. This person will split time between cultivation tasks (plant care, field and greenhouse work, harvest) and production tasks (trimming, drying, curing, packaging, pre-roll manufacturing) based on seasonal demand and operational needs.
This is not a "pick one" position. We need someone who can move fluidly between the farm and the production floor depending on where the work is. During peak growing season, the balance tips toward cultivation. During post-harvest, it tips toward production. The right person is adaptable, reliable, and genuinely passionate about the plant from seed to sale.
