Pay: $20.00 p/h minimum to start, 40% commission to start, negotiable based on experience

About Us

Zen Canine Club is a boutique daycare, boarding, grooming, and training facility located in Miami Lakes. Opened in March of 2025, we are a newer salon with an established and growing client base, and we are actively working to expand. We are a team of educated professionals committed to quality craftsmanship, genuine client education, and continued growth.

Our current lead groomer has played a key role in establishing our salon as a leader in the area and will be relocating out of state in August. We are seeking a qualified professional ready to step into this role and continue building on that foundation, someone who takes pride in their craft and genuinely enjoys being part of a team.

Who We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of hands on grooming experience
• Certifications preferred
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a team setting rather than working in isolation
• A growth minded professional seeking a long term position, not just a job

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality grooming services across a range of breeds and coat types
• Educate clients on coat care, breed specific needs, and at home maintenance
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the salon area, as this space belongs to the groomer to care for and take pride in
• Work collaboratively with the grooming and front desk team
• Help maintain and elevate the salon reputation for quality and professionalism
• Grow into a mentorship role, guiding other groomers on the team

Our Approach to Scheduling

We intentionally schedule to protect quality of work and quality of life. Our groomers typically handle 5 to 6 dogs on busy days and 3 to 4 more complex dogs on slower days, with regular breaks built into the day. We do not overschedule our groomers.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay guaranteed minimum, commission starting at 40% and negotiable based on experience. We believe groomers should be paid fairly for the work they complete whether their salon is slow or busy
• W2 employment with all payroll taxes handled
