ZEN Associates, Inc., an award-winning Landscape Architecture Design Build firm, is currently looking for a full-time Assistant Project Manager to join our construction team. We are searching for an individual who has 2 years of experience working in residential and commercial landscape construction projects in a project management capacity.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will assist the construction department team to coordinate, communicate and execute all activities related to the projects being managed by the construction department. This includes but is not limited to the following:
· Assist the construction team to create and maintain all schedules. Gantt and Pencil.
· Participate in review of construction packages (contract, budget, drawings, and schedule) prior to beginning construction. Request additional information needed for construction. Distribute and maintain construction package during construction.
· Assist in the coordination of all materials, tools and equipment, fleet, and subcontractors required to produce a quality job, maintain schedules and to maximize efficiency.
· Research permitting policies, inspectional requirements for specific project locations
· Assist project managers when asked to approve timesheets, invoices, and daily site reports.
· Organize and maintain department safety training information
· Assist project managers to complete project closeouts, and follow-ups.
· Communication with the design team and the client.
· Ensure crews and subcontractors are properly representing the company and following company policies.
Goals and Objectives: To support the construction department managers in all areas including safety, quality control, scheduling, budget, to ensure profitability. Assist project managers to coordinate staff, subcontractors, permitting, vendors to support the delivery of a well-built project on time and within budget. Establish a high level of communication to all involved parties.
Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience managing residential construction at all levels. Associates/Bachelor’s degree with background in construction and landscape fields of study. Minimum 2 years landscape construction experience in New England. Certifications or course studies in or related to landscape construction. Applicants must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use industry software.
