Zen Academy is a first-of-its-kind multilingual and mindfulness-based preschool located in Santa Ana, California. Our mission is to nurture young minds through academic excellence, social-emotional intelligence, and mindfulness practices. (children 3-6 years old)We teach English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese, while fostering values of peace, love, compassion, and respect.At Zen Academy, we believe education should nourish both the heart and the mind, helping children grow into kind, confident, and globally aware individuals. Director Primary Responsibilities: • Oversees daily operation of Zen Academy in compliance with CDSS Licensing regulations.• Develops and implements curriculum integrating mindfulness and multilingual education.• Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff.• Manages admissions, family relations, budgets, and community outreach.• Ensures health, safety, and regulatory compliance.• Represents Zen Academy at meetings and public events.Minimum Qualifications:High School Graduate or GED, 12 core semester units early childhood education/development, 3 semester units in Administration or Staff relations, 4 years teaching experience in a licensed group child care centerOr AA Degree in child development, 3 units Administration, and 2 years of teaching experience. Or BA degree in child development, 3 units Administration, and 1 year teaching experience, Or Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit.
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
