Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician
Work Location: 13501 Park Vista Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76177
Duration: 4 months with possible extension
Work Schedule:
- Onsite role | 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Central Time)
- Occasional Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time)
Training:
- Week 1: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Central Time)
- Week 2: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Time)
Must-Have Requirements:
- Active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Current PTCB or NHA CPhT certification in good standing
- 2–3 years of pharmacy technician experience
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for onsite work
Job Description:
The Certified Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for packaging and shipping medications, supplies, and patient information according to company policies and pharmacy regulations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of shipments within the pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Package and ship drugs, supplies, and patient information following all procedures and regulations
- Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring sterility, integrity, and accuracy
- Use designated checklists and maintain attention to detail in all tasks
- Coordinate patient notifications regarding schedule or holiday closures
- Review daily shipping manifests to verify addresses and delivery times
- Communicate with the pharmacy team to resolve order-related issues or revisions
- Reconcile packing slips, invoices, and carrier billing for accuracy
- Generate weekly shipping abstracts and usage reports
- Restock medications and supplies, including rotation of ice packs and coolers
- Reset and clean the packing and pharmacy areas daily
- Maintain organization in the storage room and offsite storage unit
- Secure all pharmacy areas at the end of each business day
- Dispose of trash and cardboard appropriately and coordinate with contractors for pickup
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma (required)
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician registration and national certification (PTCB/NHA)
- 2–3 years of pharmacy technician experience
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Experience in shipping, packaging, or distribution in a healthcare setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
