What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver (Part-Time) position at Zemco Tool & Die?
We are looking for an truck driver to make semi-local deliveries (20-70 miles)
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or distribution centers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Meet delivery schedules
- Document and log miles
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking ) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Experience as a truck driver is plus, but not required
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid driving license
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
