Zehr Building, LLC is seeking a Finish Carpenter to join our onsite team in Meadville, PA.
Position Summary
The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for producing high-quality interior and exterior finishes, ensuring each project meets both aesthetic standards and construction requirements. This role partners closely with the project team to deliver work that is accurate, consistent, and built to last.
You will work on a variety of finish carpentry tasks, from precise measurements to detailed installation, while maintaining jobsite cleanliness and following safety procedures at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, adjust, and finish interior and exterior carpentry components, ensuring clean lines, proper fit, and professional workmanship
- Read and interpret plans, job specifications, and measurements to complete tasks accurately
- Perform layout work, cutting, fastening, and finishing to achieve project standards and desired final appearance
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of finish stages
- Maintain a safe, organized jobsite, including proper material handling and tool care
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in finish carpentry with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to read plans, interpret specifications, and measure accurately for consistent results
- Demonstrated capability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong workmanship and pride in producing polished, durable finishes
- Ability to work onsite full-time and collaborate with a team in a construction environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience with trim, casing, moulding, doors, and related finish installations
- Experience with vinyl plank, hardwood, and tile flooring installation
- Experience with cabinetry installation
- Familiarity with common construction materials and finishing techniques
- Experience working across residential or light commercial projects
- A strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site procedures consistently
