Position: Grill Supervisor
Reports to: Kitchen Manager
Function: Responsible for assisting the first and second cooks in supplying an uninterrupted flow of condiments, food products, and cooked menu items from raw to a prepared state – ready to serve to guests in our dining rooms.

Function: Responsible for assisting the first and second cooks in supplying an uninterrupted flow of condiments, food products, and cooked menu items from raw to a prepared state – ready to serve to guests in our dining rooms.
Work Performed:
- Organize necessary shift work to line cooks so that the foods are prepared in the proper quantity, quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Taking responsibility for the roasting of meats and other foods so they are cooked according to guidelines.
- Supervise the work of line cooks and prep cooks.
- Tasting food items before opening to ensure Zehnder’s quality is met.
- Organize and produce foods for specialty parties, buffets, golf course, or any other function within Zehnder’s not considered as “normal drop-in” business.
- Plans and prepares the employee meals, and prep lists.
- Functions as the grill coordinator, working with the grill and prep department, and assigning dishing functions to the other members of the staff.
- Adheres to the requirements for production as listed on the requisition sheets.
- Communicates with other production supervisory/management members daily.
- Provides a safe and sanitary work environment as established by the Saginaw County Health Department.
- Attends all meetings necessary.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk continually, lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
Other Requirements: Available to work nights, weekends and holidays, ServSafe Certified, 2 years minimum of high volume kitchen experience.
Age Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.
