Premier Personal Injury Law Firm in the Houston Galleria area is looking for a Legal Assistant with at least 3 years of experience at a Texas personal injury law firm.

Responsibilities
- Calendaring appointments, deadlines, scheduling meetings, depositions and mediations;
- Consulting with clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, and vendors;
- Creating, organizing and maintaining case files;
- Tracking, creating, and maintaining medical bill summaries for each client;
- Ordering medical and billing records and coordinating medical treatment;
- E-Filing in State and Federal Court;
- Working with paralegals and attorneys to ensure deadlines are met and cases are proceeding to trial or mediation on timely basis;
- Communicating with clients on a regular basis to keep them apprised of case developments and to ensure they are attending all appointments;
- Assisting with phones when needed;
- Copying, scanning and mailing case documents and correspondence;
- Performing basic legal research
- Creating binders for mediations, depositions and trial; and
- Preparing for and attending trials - organizing exhibits, files and all other case documents, coordinating trial set-up and logistics, assisting attorneys in the courtroom by taking notes, handling exhibits, and marking documents referred to by counsel, assisting in the preparation of witness testimony and serve as liaison between trial attorneys and in-house staff.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience as a legal assistant at a Texas personal injury law firm
- Ability to work overtime when necessary
- Ability to multitask with little to no supervision
- Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills
- Experience with Needles or Neos software (preferred but not required)
