Job Summary:
The Crew Member is responsible for providing exceptional service and appearances to the convenience store.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, answer questions, and provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Drive sales through effective communication with customers
- Operate and utilize a sales register system and other business equipment to process authorizations for financial transactions as trained.
- Assists in maintaining the Company image inside and outside the building by completing all assigned housekeeping duties, including stocking, facing, cleaning, food preparation, and ensuring that the Company standards are met at all times.
- Work cohesively with other members of the team on duty to carry out the needs of shift.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.
- Provide a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
- Education: High School or Equivalent is preferred
- Experience: 1-3 years in a convenience store, fuel station, and/or food preparation, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic and money counting skills
- Ability to follow all guidelines of safe food handling and pass food safety training required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
- Ability to maintain good attendance & performance habits.
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Comply with the company’s safety, quality, environmental, and HR policies at all times.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Regularly required to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time.
- Occasionally required to balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Operate in a store or office environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel to lift objects of 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to use stairs and ladders.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
