Job Title:  Saw Operator

Job Summary: The Operator will cut/bend pipe and, also will cut channel, angle.  

Functional Job Duties:

·         Competent use of hand, bench, and machine operations to perform deburring, filing, grinding, and polishing on  machined parts.

·         Understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, squaring tools, electronic level, calipers, and   micrometers.

·         Understand tolerances for parts.

·         Ability to understand why machines are not a peak performance and how to increase output.

·         Accuracy with alignment, dimensional, and general inspection requirements. Perform spot inspections of parts.

·         Interpretations of work orders, blueprints, and bills of materials. Complete and maintain paperwork.

·         Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum, and regular steel).

·         Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

·         Experience in a manufacturing setting operations brake/roll press.

·         Prior fabrication experience

·         Have the ability to read a tape measure.

-Must possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company. 

-Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements. 

-Must be able to work under stress. 

-Must be able to handle multiple priorities.  

-Must be able to process paperwork effectively.

Physical Requirements:

-Must be able to go up and down stairs. 

-Must be able to communicate effectively. 

-Must be able to do unaccompanied travel. 

-Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.

-Must be able to work overtime as required. 

-Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
