Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies utilizing ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and data analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau to monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and identify trends.
- Oversee warehouse operations including materials handling, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and forklift operations to ensure efficient stock movement and storage.
- Lead procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, analyzing pricing structures, and managing supplier relationships to secure optimal terms.
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or supply chain disruptions to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions for process improvement.
- Utilize demand planning techniques and supply chain analytics to optimize stocking levels, reduce excess inventory, and improve overall inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with merchandising, retail management, and logistics teams to align inventory strategies with sales forecasts and production schedules.
- Manage data collection efforts for retail management insights, analyze financial models related to inventory costs, and utilize tools like SQL for data mining to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar systems, and data visualization tools including Power BI or Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability in procurement negotiations, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Excellent analysis skills with proficiency in data mining, root cause analysis, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
- Hands-on experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
- Familiarity with 3PL providers, shipping & receiving processes, production planning, and materials management practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
