Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator

Job description:

A CNC Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains computer controlled machinery to produce precision components.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate CNC machines based on specifications.
• Load materials and monitor machine operations for quality assurance.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet design standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machinery.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.

Technical Skills:

Must Have

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• A background in machine operation, assembly, or equipment maintenance. Must be comfortable working with tools and following manufacturing work instructions. Eligibility Requirements:

• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, safety shoes gloves and gowns
• Ability to work overtime including occasional weekend shifts

Nice To Have

Shop math skills:

• Previous experience using precision measuring tools
• Able to work with computerized shop floor tools and basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Demonstrates positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
• Strong communication skills including verbal and written skills.
