This role is central to ensuring that high-cost, high-touch specialty medications and clinical supplies are always available, properly stored, and procured at the best possible value. You’ll work across purchasing, contracting, sourcing, inventory control, and warehouse management to build a reliable, scalable supply chain.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a start-up environment. Also for someone who is comfortable creating structure, improving processes, and wearing multiple hats.

Drug & Supply Procurement
· Manage end-to-end procurement of medications, supplies, packaging materials, and operational equipment.
· Place and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving discrepancies with vendors.
· Evaluate purchasing trends to optimize order frequency, reduce waste, and control carrying costs.
Contracting & Vendor Management
· Support negotiation and maintenance of contracts with wholesalers, manufacturers, GPOs, 3PLs, and specialty distributors.
· Maintain vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, reliable supply, and access to specialty products.
· Review contract terms, pricing files, and applicable rebate structures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Assist leadership with RFPs, vendor evaluations, and onboarding of new suppliers.
Sourcing & Market Intelligence
· Identify alternative suppliers, cost-saving opportunities, and new sourcing channels for specialty medications and pharmacy supplies.
· Monitor drug shortages, backorders, and market changes; proactively communicate risks and mitigation strategies.
· Research new products, packaging solutions, and operational tools that support pharmacy growth.
Warehouse Operations
· Train new team members on operational, shipping, and inventory protocols and systems.
· Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution workflows for medications and supplies.
· Ensure proper handling of cold-chain shipments, including temperature monitoring and documentation.
· Maintain an organized, compliant warehouse environment aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards.
· Track and resolve shipping or delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, and return-to-stock processes.
Qualifications:
· 2 years of experience in enterprise inventory management, logistics, and supply chain specific to pharmacy operations and/or healthcare operations
· Strong understanding of pharmaceutical distribution channels, wholesalers, GPOs, and specialty drug access pathways.
· Familiarity with cold-chain handling, lot tracking, and regulatory requirements.
· Proficiency with inventory management systems, pharmacy management software, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor-relationship skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment with evolving processes and priorities.
What You’ll Bring:
