Role Overview:
As a baker at ZARY BAKERY, you'll prepare a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, cookies, and cakes, contributing to our mission of making each day sweeter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Baking: Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Quality Control: Follow recipes and measurements accurately to maintain consistent quality.
- Presentation: Decorate and present baked goods attractively.
- Efficiency: Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure products are cooked properly.
- Cleanliness: Keep the baking area clean and organized.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules for catering events and restaurant service.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Precision in following recipes and scaling ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in decorating and presenting baked goods.
- Excellent time management skills to meet baking schedules.
- Creativity in recipe development and adaptation.
- Physical stamina for long hours and repetitive tasks.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial baking and dessert production.
- Familiarity with dough lamination is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Availability for weekend shifts and early morning hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess a current Food Handlers Card.
