What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at Zarrow Pointe?
Position Title: Maintenance Tech
Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Understanding of shop tools.
Vo-tech training in HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/Carpentry or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Skills/Requirements:
Ability to use testing instruments.
Knowledge of general carpentry practices
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, Electrical & Plumbing.
Ability to read/understand blueprints.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with diagnostic evaluations on various types of equipment. HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & appliances will be the main focus of repairs.
Repair issues with equipment once an issue is isolated.
Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
Assist in Villa/Apartment/Health Care room make-ready's.
General upkeep of property. This includes painting, light carpentry, campus trash removal and landscaping.
Physical demands:
Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
Be able to walk over 15,000 steps per day.
The majority of tasks performed are inside of climate-controlled areas but occasionally we must work on equipment outside and be exposed to sever weather conditions for short periods of time.
Be able to climb ladders/stairs.
Other Pertinent Facts:
1. Must be able to assist in after hour work call-ins on occasion.
2. Must have reliable transportation.
3. We provide ALL required tools.
4. Must be able to work some weekends when scheduled person is off.
Supervisory Controls:
Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
