What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Associate position at Zaros Bake Shop?
Description:
Role: To ensure sanitation routine and cleaning schedules are completed daily in a manufacturing & warehouse environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
The following duties are general and particular to this position. Responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the business.
- Adherence to the cleaning schedule for assigned areas throughout the bakery.
- General cleaning of all dirties in the dish room using combination of machine and or 3 bay sinks.
- Ensure different areas of the plant are cleaned by mopping, sweeping, wiping, etc.
- Assist production staff with breaking down of lines and cleaning up projects as needed.
- Responsible for the exterior cleaning of machinery as scheduled.
- Completion of assigned deep cleaning task to ensure plant is audit ready.
Task may include scrubbing, and sanitizing walls, floors, baseboards, staircases, ovens, tables, sinks, drains, trash cans, electric cord reals ect.
- Regular emptying of garbage bins following the timeline.
- Follow all sanitation procedures as outlined by the manager.
- Clean restrooms, common and office areas.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance
- Perform job functions in hot and/or cold environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Required to squat, reach, bend, pull, push, or be otherwise physically engaged during the shift
General Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude: job training provided
- Multitask and work with a sense of urgency
- Work with independence following the daily routine & task list
- Ability to read English and legibly complete all required paperwork
