JOB SUMMARY:
Zarco Stucco Construction is a fast-growing, bondable stucco and EIFS contractor with over 30 years of experience across South Florida. We are seeking a proactive Safety Officer/Director to take ownership of our safety department—building, improving, and implementing our safety program across all active projects. Ultimately achieving a Culture of Safety throughout the Organization.
This role works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, ensuring compliance with company safety policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations. Position reports directly to the Executive Team.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· U.S. work authorization.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum 3 years of Construction Health & Safety experience.
· Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
· Clear and confident decision-making ability.
· Experience with injury management and incident documentation.
· Basics in Microsoft Office
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
· Required: OSHA 30 (minimum).
· Preferred: OSHA 500/510, CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications, ability to conduct safety classes and certifications (including BUIG if applicable).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, update, and manage the company’s Safety Program and Safety Manual.
2. Promote a strong and sustainable safety culture throughout the company.
3. Oversee and enforce safety compliance across active job sites through regular site visits.
4. Identify hazardous conditions and implement corrective measures to ensure a safe work environment.
5. Lead and support toolbox talks, safety orientations, emergency-response drills, and jobsite training.
6. Maintain active awareness of ongoing field conditions and daily operations.
7. Participate in job planning meetings to address safety concerns in advance.
8. Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
9. Ensure preparation and enforcement of Site Safety Binders, Job Safety Analysis, and Fall Protection Plans.
10. Track safety metrics and report performance to the Executive Team.
COMPENSATION:
Salary commensurate with experience.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
