Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, restrooms, lobbies, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Operate floor buffers and other floor care machinery to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination
- Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving equipment or supplies safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting work areas regularly and addressing any issues promptly
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety practices
- Familiarity with chemical agent handling and proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Prior experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met consistently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout shifts
