What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Prep position at Zankou Chicken?
Pay Scale: $16.50 - $17.00
Zankou Chicken is an award-winning, family-owned, fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant chain with eight locations in Southern California. At Zankou, we serve quality, natural, and uniquely delicious Mediterranean meals at an affordable price and with “WOW” level guest experience.
Position Summary: Prepare, cook different food products for our restaurants.
What you'll do:
· Cook garbanzo beans
· Cook items on the grill
· Bake
· Cutting vegetables
· Washing vegetables
· Prepare/Process sauces (Hummus, Tahini, Garlic Sauce, Mutabbal)
· Follow proper prep list and keep up with production schedule
· Prep ingredients to be used in producing commissary products
· Follow health codes and sanitation procedures
· Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work are by squeegeeing floors, wiping off tables, sweeping, emptying trash containers
· Pack/prepare made products in a cooler room
· Safe and efficient use of industrial food preparation equipment
· Maintain a safe work area
· Assist in other assigned duties
· Weekly prep and warehouse cleaning
What we're looking for:
· Must possess a current California Food Handlers Card
· Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
· Must be able to work in hot and cold environments
