Role’s Mission
Provide correct setup for primer, Basecoat and Clearcoat application on Wheel trim and center caps.
Scope / Areas of Responsibility
· Directly manage Mixer’s activities.
· Follow-up of the FET’s (Setup data sheet) for new models with support of Paint plant Engineer.
· Control records of paint application in line with FET’s, Thickness, Superficial tension, flaming, booth humidity and temperature, oven.
· Give technical support to shift leader, Supervisor & paint mixers in problem solving in his/her shift.
· Co-responsible of start in production release with quality of the painted model.
· Cleaning and organization of the working area.
· Shift Startup and stop of production during working days.
· Follow up every 5 minutes of the parts during production time.
· Guarantee setting, control and follow-up of paint applications and flaming.
· Doing the maintenance program of guns, regulators, defined in maintenance 1 level of paint line.
· Generate maintenance job request in case of equipment’s problem.
· Support Paint Plant engineer in trials, paint mixing and settings during new program start on production.
· To guarantee with shift leader the total accomplishment of the General Production Program.
· To guarantee with the shift leader the correct usage and parts feting on paint jigs.
· Control and registration of consumption of paint and varnishes.
· Training Paint tech trainees with help of Paint Plant Engineer on FET’s, working methods and paint mixing.
Advisable training/skills:
· High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Knowledge of equipment usage for paint application.
· Knowledge of tools for troubleshooting
Advisable professional experience:
· Minimum 2 years as paint technician or 3 months of internal training on-line system and spraying equipment.
· Knowledge in paint mixing
· PC management
