What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Machinist Weekend Shift position at Zaniboni Lighting?
We are hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.
We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders.
Weekend Shift is Friday to Sunday (3 days per week) 12-hour days (6am to 6:30pm). Offering competitive hourly rate based on skillset.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
- Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances
- Must be able to work off of blueprints
- Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts
- Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
- Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records
- Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes.
- Experience with CNC Okuma a plus
- Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions
- General knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading
- Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts
- OSHA 10-hour
Physical Demands:
Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
