Job Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager supports the Verona residential team by helping in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to established deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating team members, managing resources, and ensuring project objectives are met to ensure overall success of the project.

Project Coordination:

  • Schedule and attend meetings for residential projects to ensure communication and coordination between homeowners and Zander Solutions.
  • Responsible for project controls – job costs, schedules, changes and procurement.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Help to track those tasks and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and information.

Resource Management:

  • Assist in identifying and managing project resources including material, time and labor.
  • Manage costs by assisting in the tracking of labor and materials.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for WIP meetings.
  • Provide regular updates to homeowners.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date.

Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in ensuring project deliverables meet Zander Solutions quality standards.
  • Conduct project reviews and create reports for leadership.

Job Qualifications & Evaluation

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in a business acumen, bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years’ experience in an administrative support or project management support function. Preferably in the construction industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Can adapt to shifting priorities while working on multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Licenses, Certifications and Travel:

  • Valid and insurable driver’s license.
  • Intermittent travel to and from job sites required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The level of physical activity can vary based on the specific requirements of the projects being managed. While the role is primarily focused on the management and coordination of projects, Assistant Project Managers are also expected to:

  • Walk, climb, and navigate safely on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Work in extreme temperatures and adapt to different climate and seasonal changes.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while on construction sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
