As we continue our global expansion, with a particular focus on the United States, we are seeking a General Manager - North America to lead this next phase.
Position Overview
The General Manager - North America will launch, grow, and scale the brand across the United States, from early operations to long-term market leadership.
This is a foundational leadership role for someone equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in restaurant operations and steering strategy, development, and growth.
As the driving force behind Zambrero’s expansion in the United States, you will build infrastructure, lead teams, grow revenue, recruit franchisees, and serve as the face of the brand in the region. Your success will define the success of Zambrero in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end operations in the United States, ensuring excellence in food, service, safety, compliance, and guest experience.
- Direct market development, including site selection, lease negotiation, construction, openings, and team onboarding.
- Recruit, train, and support franchise partners, ensuring alignment with brand values, systems, and standards.
- Build and lead a high-performing United States team, establishing a cross-functional operating rhythm that drives accountability and synergy.
- Develop and manage local supply chain, logistics, and technology partnerships to support scale.
- Plan and execute local marketing and brand-building initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and health codes.
- Champion Zambrero’s Plate 4 Plate initiative and serve as a visible brand ambassador within the community and the market.
Experience & Qualifications
- Senior leadership experience across operations, and/or general management within restaurant, quick service restaurant, or franchise environments.
- Demonstrated success launching or scaling an international brand in the United States market.
- Hands-on experience in franchise recruitment and franchise operations, with a strong grasp of unit economics and performance management.
- An established network across the United States food and hospitality space, with the ability to forge partnerships that drive market establishment and growth.
