Zaman Mediterranean Fresh is looking for an experienced, dependable, and genuinely friendly Cashier / Front Counter Team Member to join our team.
We are a locally owned, fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant near Washington Park, known for fresh, made-from-scratch food and warm hospitality. Zaman has earned a 4.8-star Google rating with more than 900 reviews.
We are looking for someone who enjoys people, works with urgency, pays attention to details, and wants to become a reliable, long-term part of the team.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent service
- Take accurate dine-in, takeout, delivery, and online orders
- Confidently explain the menu and help guests choose what to order
- Operate Toast POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
- Double-check orders for accuracy before they leave the restaurant
- Package takeout and delivery orders carefully
- Answer phones and assist with customer and catering questions
- Keep the front counter, beverage area, and dining room clean, stocked, and organized
- Help the rest of the team during busy periods
- Complete opening or closing responsibilities depending on your shift
Who We're Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 1 year of restaurant, fast-casual, cashier, or front-of-house experience required
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable talking with customers
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
- Calm and organized during busy periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done
- Comfortable learning the menu and making recommendations
- Interested in a consistent position and long-term fit
Toast POS experience is a plus, but not required.

Schedule
Full-time and part-time positions are available, approximately 20–40 hours per week.
We are looking for candidates who can commit to a consistent schedule and have some availability for days, evenings, and weekends.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
