Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters efficiently and safely
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety and sanitizing protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee perfectly baked pizzas every time
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage practices
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high-volume production standards during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or culinary environments, especially with pizza or similar dishes
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production processes
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and allergen awareness
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under pressure
