Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions and handle cash register duties.
- Maintain stock levels by organizing shelves, restocking merchandise, and ensuring product displays are appealing.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support during shifts.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and assist with stock management tasks.
- Answer phone calls professionally, addressing customer inquiries and providing information about products and services.
- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling financial transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good phone etiquette.
