We are currently seeking a full-time Service Director to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between customers and our shop—ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal applicant will be organized, efficient, a clear communicator and deeply passionate about cars. A strong focus on customer service is essential, along with an understanding of automotive systems and the ability to work with a team of highly skilled technicians.
Our shop works on an extremely broad spectrum of cars, from modern SUVs and daily drivers to exotics, Ford Model Ts and air-cooled Porsches. This makes Zakira’s Garage a unique environment—one that blends professionalism with passion, technical knowledge with storytelling, and precision with customer connection.
Job Responsibilities
Service Advisor Tasks
- Oversee daily operations of the shop
- Service writing and estimate preparation
- Schedule and manage workflow for technicians
- Maintain strong customer communication and satisfaction
- Delegate jobs to technicians based on skill sets and specialties
Managerial Tasks
- Monitor daily cash flow and generate reports
- Collaborate with leadership on overall business health
- Increase profitability and optimize workflow efficiency
- Assist in staff management and development
Brand Representation
- Represent Zakira’s Garage at local and regional events
- Attend car shows, Cars & Coffee, concours events, etc. (some Saturdays required)
- Network within the local collector and enthusiast community
Required Skills / Qualifications
- 5 years of service advising experience (required)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Technical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, organization and time management
- Business acumen with budgeting and operations insight
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Self-motivated with strong leadership qualities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as an automotive technician
- Familiarity with automotive shop software
- Auto hobbyist or enthusiast background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Additional Information
- Job Type: Full-time, in-person
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm, some Saturdays
- Compensation: Based on experience
