Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver and Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods to various locations while also managing warehouse tasks such as loading, unloading, and organizing inventory. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck with manual transmission for local route driving and delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual lifting techniques, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with warehouse organization by moving inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean storage environment
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by communicating professionally with clients and verifying delivery details
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
- Load and secure shipments properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements for tracking purposes
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is preferred
- Warehouse experience involving loading/unloading, inventory management, or forklift operation is highly desirable
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual moving tasks safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with route driving, load securing, and delivery documentation processes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and warehouse operations
- Experience using pallet jacks or forklifts is advantageous; certification is preferred but not required
