Description
The PBU Assembler position at Zak Designs works to label cartons and palletize products to customer specifications.. In addition, this position works as a support function as the workload allows for other departments within the warehouse, such as Production, Shipping Ecommerce, and Receiving. This position is responsible for the following:
- Labeling cartons and palletizing product to customers’ specifications
- Shrink-wrapping pallets
- Performing first line quality assurance inspections
- Annotating piece count on packing slip, turning in completed paperwork for further processing, and performing other duties as required.
- This position may also back up our warehouse shipper as needed, therefore, forklift is experience is a plus.

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos. Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Be able to speak and understand simple sentences.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables.
