What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at Zain Insurance Services?
Purpose of Position:
To perform health benefits administration for Zain Insurance Services active clients. Builds positive relationships with clients by performing Service of Unequalled Excellence for customer service processes, eligibility processing, maintenance of client digital benefit management system, reporting, and quoting.
Essential Functions:
- Manage elite (designated) clients’ health benefits portfolio. This life cycle starts from initial sale, to onboarding, to daily administration, through annual renewal quoting and implementation.
- Perform new group carrier submissions with minimal or no pending items to ensure a smooth underwriting process and quick turnaround for carrier approval. This also includes overseeing Zain Insurance Services employees in the same processes for the same positive results.
- Daily process benefit eligibility changes for all Zain Insurance Services employer groups.
- Weekly perform New Hire Progress notifications for all Zain Insurance Services employer groups.
- Assist with onboarding of new clients via new case materials with minimal or no pending items to ensure a smooth underwriting process and quick turnaround for carrier approval.
- Attend industry seminars to keep current with health insurance marketplace activities and trends.
- Coordinate client service requests, from ID card generation to claims adjudication, in addition to invoice reconciliation, as requested.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key contacts and team members in all functional areas, internal and external clients, and insurance carrier/vendor partners.
- Implement client final renewal decisions on digital benefit management system, launch and track open enrollment changes, and submit changes to carriers. Includes annual compliance reporting for each client: Medicare Part D Creditability Determination, update Medicare Part D Model Notice, perform online filing to CMS for Medicare credibility status, provide client annual Agent Compensation Disclosure Notification, update any POP or ERISA wrap doc renewals. Prepare and email clients Open Enrollment Wrap-Up reports.
- Assist with uploading up-to-date census information for each client to prepare in WBQuote for renewal purposes. Assists with running Current to Renewal quotes with appropriate plans assigned to each employee and proper employer contribution assignments, along with suggested quoted plans.
- Perform updates of birthday flower delivery schedule by flower vendor.
- Maintain/update special reports as requested by C-Suite employees, including their annual health insurance selections and claims adjudications.
- Submit, organize, and manage pet claims for C-suite employees.
- Responsible for updating new group and renewal information in AgencyBLOC portal.
- Responsible for uploading monthly commission statements to AgencyBLOC.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job, whether in-office or working remotely.
- Perform other business tasks or functions as assigned.
- Perform Service of Unequalled Excellence in all Customer Service responsibilities to both internal and external clients. Return emails/calls to clients/employees within 24 hours, client partners within 24 – 48 hours. Coordinate effective/timely results for the employer/employee in such transactions. Notifies Director of Zain Insurance Services of escalated customer service issues and as guided, assists in resolution.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, technology sales, or account management with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with business development expertise
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly
- Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms for sales tracking and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to conduct warm calling and engage prospects effectively
- Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies to support sales initiatives
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and drive results
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required and preferred (if applicable):
- Knowledge of health plan offerings and services and/or related industry/regulatory experience
- Provide effective customer service, critical thinking, and consultative skills to effectively manage clients
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, assess situations quickly, and make logical and appropriate decisions
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and effectively work in a fast-paced environment during high-peak renewal periods
- Self-motivated, requiring little or no supervision; flexible, team player, able to motivate others
- Ability to develop corrective strategies pertaining to eligibility processing.
- Assist with enrollment presentations as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with using Employee Navigator (Ease) and AgencyBLOC portal a plus.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients and functional management.
- Mature and professional in attitude and appearance

Educational Requirements:
High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years related business/industry experience required. Valid CA Health & Life Producer License a plus.
Previous account management and health care benefits experience a plus.
C/E courses – HIPAA/COBRA / FSA
Bilingual- Proficiency in Spanish language a plus.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasionally stand and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift or pull up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
