Videographer Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Videographer to deliver creative, instructive, and brand-building content in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Associate Creative Director of Photo & Video. This person should be able to deliver work in a variety of styles for different brands and be excellent at collaborating and implementing feedback. Key Responsibilities Digital Concept Development: Generate innovative video ideas for campaigns and product launches that reinforce our brand promise and set us apart in a competitive marketplace. Communicate: Overcome production roadblocks by connecting with sources of truth Produce Shoots: Be willing and able to pull a production together by identifying and hiring excellent talent, wardrobe, crew, location and other resources, all in line with brand standards. Shoot, Direct, Edit: Personally handle all aspects of video creation from start to finish, outsourcing as needed. Storyboard and Shot-list: Create preliminary shot lists and/or storyboards to ensure that production will meet the needs of stakeholders prior to shooting. Typography & Design: Place text callouts and other copy on videos in a way that is visually pleasing and on-brand. Equipment Management: Keep an inventory of video gear, maintain it in good repair and recommend equipment purchases that will make significant improvements to output or efficiency. Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into the creative process where relevant. Collaboration: Work with 3D team, photo/video teammates, designers and others to complete work successfully. Contribute to a supportive and creative working environment. Protect Assets: Maintain backups of all work in an organized storage system. Data Asset Management: Properly tag all uploaded work to ensure easy location and utilization by teams. Continuous Improvement: Look for better ways to do things and provide recommendations. Maintain an appetite for learning and regularly pursue opportunities to develop professional skills. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in videography, or a related field, with a preference for online retail and channel-driven partnerships. Expert in video production requirements (online and channel partners) An ability to create concepts to articulate, inform, and validate ideas with stakeholders and channel partners (e.g., storyboards, wireframes, sketches, shot lists). A positive attitude with a love of constructive feedback and willingness to take direction Strong understanding of design principles, visual storytelling, and brand identity. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in video software, such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects. A degree in videography, fine arts, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. A strong portfolio that shows good taste as well as innovative and visually compelling creative work. All applications must include a portfolio link. Why Join Us?
