Zachys is one of the nation's premier fine wine retailers and auction houses, serving collectors and enthusiasts since 1944. We are seeking a hands-on Ecommerce Manager to own and optimize our online storefront and customer experience.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Manager to own and optimize our Shopify storefront. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the website, digital merchandising, product catalog, promotions, customer experience, and ecommerce operations.
The ideal candidate is a Shopify expert who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and understands how to drive online sales through effective merchandising, site optimization, and customer-focused experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Ecommerce Strategy & Growth
- Drive ecommerce initiatives that improve conversion, customer retention, average order value, and overall site performance.
- Support revenue growth through merchandising, promotions, and customer experience optimization.
Shopify Storefront Management
- Own the day-to-day management of the Shopify storefront, including products, collections, navigation, content, and promotions.
- Manage product catalog accuracy, pricing, inventory visibility, and site merchandising.
- Administer Shopify apps and integrations while troubleshooting site-related issues.
Merchandising & Customer Experience
- Lead digital merchandising efforts to improve product discoverability and conversion.
- Partner with Buying and Marketing teams to support promotions, campaigns, and product storytelling.
- Continuously enhance the customer journey and online shopping experience.
Site Performance & Ecommerce Operations
- Monitor ecommerce KPIs and customer behavior using Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve site performance and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ecommerce-related issues and escalations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Buying, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Technology teams to execute ecommerce initiatives and support business growth.
Vendor & Platform Management
- Manage relationships with Shopify partners, app providers, and technology vendors.
- Ensure website functionality, accuracy, quality assurance, and best practices are maintained.
Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on Shopify or Shopify Plus experience.
- Experience managing a live ecommerce storefront in a retail, DTC, consumer products, or multi-brand environment.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify merchandising, collections, promotions, navigation, and product catalog management.
- Experience with Shopify apps and integrations.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and ecommerce reporting.
- Understanding of SEO, UX/UI, and ecommerce best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Retail or luxury retail experience.
- Experience working with large product catalogs and inventory-driven businesses.
- Experience with Shopify Plus and personalization tools such as Rebuy.
Compensation: $85k-$88K
