Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate cabinet placement and alignment
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, leveling surfaces, and setting up necessary tools and materials
- Install cabinets using hand tools and power tools, ensuring secure fastening and proper fitment
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation tasks seamlessly
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to verify adherence to design specifications and safety standards
- Perform touch-ups such as caulking, trimming, or finishing details to achieve a polished look
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols throughout each project
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinet installation or related carpentry work with a strong understanding of construction processes
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with construction management software is a plus
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., drills, saws) and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Experience with other construction trades such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, or masonry is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to adapt quickly on-site
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in various environmental conditions
