Position Overview
The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage (F&B) is responsible for supporting the Director of F&B in overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s food and beverage operations. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences across all outlets, maintains the highest operational standards, drives revenue growth, and fosters a motivated, high-performing team in alignment with the hotel’s luxury brand standards.
Essential Functions
Operational Management
- Assist in managing all food and beverage outlets, including fine dining restaurants, bars, room service, banquets, and catering.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor daily operations, including staffing, inventory, food quality, and service standards.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with hotel and brand standards.
Financial Management
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for all F&B outlets.
- Monitor revenue, control costs, and optimize profitability.
- Implement effective inventory management and cost-control measures.
Team Leadership and Training
- Supervise, train, and motivate F&B managers, and service staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop staff training programs to enhance skills and ensure consistent service standards.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment.
Guest Experience and Quality Control
- Ensure all food and beverage offerings meet luxury standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Manage guest complaints and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to create innovative menus and promotions.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Oversee adherence to licensing laws and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, storage, and service areas.
Collaboration and Innovation
- Work closely with the Director of F&B and other hotel departments to plan events, promotions, and special offerings.
- Assist in developing strategies to enhance revenue, guest satisfaction, and brand reputation.
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage and Senior Management.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in F&B management, preferably in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, optimize costs, and drive revenue.
- Knowledge of high-end culinary trends, service standards, and guest experience expectations.
