Helper Insulator

Job Description

Assist insulator craftsmen with applying, removing and repairing insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, hot and cold pipes, storage tanks and vessels, to help control noise and maintain temperatures.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Assist journeyman with projects around the jobsite
• Maintain tools and equipment and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
• Inspect all tools/instruments and test equipment as needed.
• Follow all site guidelines
• Follow direction of journeymen and supervisors
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proficient in maintenance and insulation skills
• Willingness to be trained in all operations of insulation.
• Able to communicate items of concern
• Knowledge of insulation practices, skills and equipment
• Organization and time management
• Must have good aptitude and manual dexterity
• Good reading comprehension
• Ability to work well with others
• Commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations

Job Requirements:

• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Plan work and select proper tools.
• Work at heights without fear.

Work environment:

• Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot – cool/cold. Occasional rain.
• Will work at different elevations.
• Noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools.
• People standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking. Bells, whistles and alarms.

Qualifications

Qualification Highlights :

• Must have 4 years’ experience as a Insulator Helper, Insulator
• Experience in Petro Chem or Refinery
• Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
