Job Description
Position Synopsis: Individual will be responsible to oversee the technical aspects, performance and resource requirements necessary for assigned Electrical engineering projects and personnel with primary focus on calculations and analysis. Individual will be responsible to ensure that accurate engineering deliverable reviews are accomplished and are consistent with client processes and procedures. Engineering scope includes developing engineering calculations and determination of project scope. Position requires the individual to exercise independent judgment in leading direct reports in the day-to-day activities necessary to support ongoing work. Individual will need to communicate with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and clients to coordinate the development of project deliverables and schedules, assign resources, and resolve discrepancies. The ability to interface with the customer and their representatives to ensure their satisfaction as well as a proven ability to oversee calculation and analysis engineering projects is necessary for this position. The expectation of this role is to be a “working supervisor” which means approximately 80% of your time will be direct support of projects and 20% of your time will be oversight of engineers in your discipline.

Other Required Qualifications (minimum): All applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. A demonstrated ability to direct Electrical engineering personnel on project assignments is required. Proficient in standard design and calculation processes and knowledgeable on the nuclear requirements regarding electrical including nuclear ETAP work. Demonstrated technical knowledge of codes and standards applicable to Electrical engineering. Working knowledge of applicable engineering drawings is required. Effective time management skills are required. Ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access is required. Successful candidate will be required to understand and comply with company policies, procedures and processes. Overtime work may be required. Travel may be required to client sites with occasional periods of field/office work.
Qualifications
Education Required (minimum): BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited Engineering program. A degree in Engineering Technology or a related science degree with additional experience will also be considered.
Experience Required (minimum): Must have 15 years (minimum) of engineering experience. Must possess strong proficiency in the development of engineering calculations and analysis including ETAP. Must also possess familiarity with the Standard Design Process, 50.59 licensing documentation, and development of other engineering deliverables. Candidate must possess an active PE license or be capable of obtaining a PE license within 18 months of hire.
