Responsibilities of the Senior Business Intelligence Developer include:
- Develop and maintain AI-enhanced analytics pipelines
- Leverage generative AI and automation tools to improve BI applications
- Design and maintain semantic models, governed explores, and reusable data marts
- Implement and manage a shared metrics layer with version control and testing
- Write advanced SQL for BI/AI models and optimize queries for performance
- Define data contracts and enforce quality standards with Data Engineering teams
- Mentor BI Analysts on modeling, query optimization, and dashboard performance
- Proven experience driving AI adoption in analytics workflows
- Strong proficiency in SQL and BI semantic modeling (e.g., LookML or equivalent)
- Familiarity with modern ELT stacks and cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Scripting experience in Python or R for automation and testing
- Understanding of BI governance, performance tuning, and data contracts
- Awareness of open table formats (Iceberg/Delta) and query engines
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
