MBSE Systems Engineers (Levels 1–3)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking MBSE Systems Engineers (Levels 1–3) to support next-generation aerospace and defense programs in St. Louis, MO. The MBSE Systems Engineer will contribute to the design, integration, and verification of advanced aircraft and mission systems within a cutting-edge digital engineering environment. This role is fully onsite in St. Louis, MO!

Responsibilities of the MBSE Systems Engineer (Levels 1–3):

• Support system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE methodologies (SysML, Cameo, MSOSA)
• Assist in defining system functions, interfaces, and requirements across multiple engineering domains
• Contribute to requirements decomposition, traceability, and documentation within MBSE models
• Participate in system integration, verification, and validation (V&V) activities
• Support trade studies, system analysis, and design reviews to meet program objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including software, hardware, and systems teams
• Maintain and update MBSE artifacts within a digital engineering ecosystem
• Support implementation of MBSE best practices across the program lifecycle
  
  

Qualifications of the MBSE Systems Engineer (Levels 1–3):

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
• 0–8 years of systems engineering experience depending on level
• Experience or exposure to MBSE methodologies, SysML, and modeling tools such as Cameo or MSOSA
• Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals including requirements, integration, and testing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Exposure to aerospace, defense, or mission systems environments preferred
• Experience supporting digital engineering environments is a plus
  
  

Compensation for the MBSE Systems Engineer (Levels 1–3):

$85,000 – $135,000 annually based on experience
