Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer with expertise in Forescout to support a federal customer in McLean, VA. This mid-level role focuses on implementing and operating next-generation cybersecurity solutions, including network engineering, system administration, and Active Directory services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Forescout CounterACT appliances and a strong understanding of federal security policies and compliance frameworks.

- Implement and operate advanced cybersecurity tools and technologies to protect large-scale networks.
- Architect and design IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
- Perform network engineering tasks such as switch configuration, VLAN setup, and firewall appliance management.
- Administer Windows and Linux systems, including troubleshooting, configuration, and security upgrades.
- Deploy and maintain Forescout CounterACT appliances in customer environments.
- Integrate cybersecurity data using enterprise tools such as Splunk for analysis and reporting.
- Support Tier II IT operations, including ticket updates, issue remediation, and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with team members and customers to resolve technical challenges and ensure mission success.
- Associate’s degree and 5 years of IT experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 3 years, or Master’s degree and 1 year; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience with network engineering and system administration in multi-domain architectures.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, LAN/WAN, VLANs, and virtualized environments.
- 1 years of Windows or Linux administration experience.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA , etc.).
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider – Infrastructure Support certification within 30 days of start.
- TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI polygraph.
- Experience deploying and maintaining Forescout CounterACT appliances.
- Familiarity with federal security policies, RMF processes, and risk management frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 (based on experience).
