Job Description:
Zachary Music Academy is hiring a Part-Time Piano Instructor for our Homeschool Classes. This position teaches during daytime / school hours and starts part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time.
You will be teaching piano to students age 4 and up, including many homeschool students who take lessons during the day.
What We're Looking For in Your Resume:

Responsibilities:
- Teach private and small-group piano lessons to students ages 4 and up for our homeschool program
- Teach during daytime homeschool hours (mornings / early afternoons)
- Create engaging, age-appropriate, beginner-friendly lesson plans
- Teach fundamentals: technique, rhythm, note reading, theory, and performance skills
- Track student progress and maintain positive communication with parents / homeschool families
- Provide excellent customer service to all families
- Maintain lesson room and studio pianos / equipment
Qualifications:
- Strong piano proficiency
- Experience playing and/or teaching piano - must be comfortable teaching young beginners age 4
- Customer service experience required
- Patient, encouraging, and great with kids and parents
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work in-person at 2060 Church St Ste E, Zachary, LA 70791
- Reliable transportation
Schedule & Hours:
- This is a daytime position to serve homeschool families
- Preferred availability: Monday-Friday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Afternoon hours (1PM-3PM) also available if you want to build to full-time
- Part-time to start, with clear path to full-time as your roster grows
Compensation:
$7.25 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience and education level.
