Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Production Assistant Machine Operator & Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various industrial machines to ensure efficient production processes. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills and work with advanced equipment in a fast-paced setting. If you are dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and take pride in doing quality work, we want to hear from you.
Previous machine operation experience is a plus, but NOT required - we will train!
What You'll Do
As an Assistant Machine Operator/Machine Operator, you will:
- Assist with preparation of machines for start-up
- Monitor machine operation and performance
- Notify the Department Supervisor/Manager promptly of maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or other problems
- Assist with break relief as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company safety procedures and production guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Machine operation experience is a plus, but NOT required
- We will train the right candidate!
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer experience preferred, but not required
- Hand truck and/or forklift experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge and proper use of safe lifting techniques
- Bilingual skills preferred, but not required
- Excellent attendance and dependability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime and weekends when required
Work Schedule
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Compensation
- $13.40 – $14.40 per hour
- $0.25 per hour shift premium
- Paid weekly
