Job Summary
ZA Construction is looking for a dedicated Railroad Laborer. Salary is commensurate with experience. Must be able to work Monday - Friday (full-time and some overtime) and be available to work on weekends/holidays when necessary. Must be able to travel out of state as needed (transportation provided).
Duties/Responsibilities
- Must be able work in harsh weather conditions as well as rough terrain.
- Must be physically able to climb on and under railroad cars or other equipment.
- Must be physically able to withstand extensive standing, stooping, kneeling and repeated pushing / pulling motions
- Knows and adheres to all safety guidelines of construction industry
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
- May operate construction equipment including excavators, backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, track dumps, off road dumps, motor graders, material handling trucks, etc.
- Requires Clean MVR,
- Requires pre-employment Background check and Drug Screen.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Must be highly dependable and available for emergency calls.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from Mendenhall, MS
- Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities a plus!
- Railroad Experience (preferred)
Salary is commensurate with experience.
