FIELD SUPERINTENDENT – HEAVY HIGHWAY / ASPHALT / ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Chicagoland Area | $100,000–$120,000 Company Truck
We are partnering with an established, family-oriented heavy civil contractor seeking a Field Superintendent to lead roadway and asphalt construction projects across the Chicago and suburban market.
This is a field leadership role overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, managing schedules, and driving project execution from mobilization through completion.
Projects are generally local and range from approximately $100K to $10M.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead field execution for roadway, asphalt paving, and civil construction projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, trucking, and asphalt deliveries
• Manage daily schedules and sequencing of work
• Track production quantities and field reporting
• Maintain safety, quality, and schedule expectations
• Work directly with project management and company leadership
• Review production and quantities using field reporting software
What We’re Looking For:
• 5 years of field supervision experience in heavy highway, road construction, paving, or civil construction
• Strong asphalt paving experience preferred
• Experience directing field personnel and coordinating subcontractors
• Ability to manage schedules and field logistics independently
• Familiarity with HCSS / HeavyJob or similar construction reporting software preferred
• Bridge/structures experience not required

Compensation:
Base salary approximately $100,000–$120,000 depending on experience plus vehicle and benefits.
