Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our property management team. You'll be the driving force behind maintaining high standards of customer service and property upkeep while supporting the overall management of residential or commercial properties. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for residents and tenants, making their experience exceptional.

What you'll do

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the scattered site properties, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
  • Coordinate property leasing activities, including showing units, processing applications, and conducting background checks.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems while utilizing property management software like AppFolio.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and concerns with excellent customer service skills, resolving conflicts effectively to foster positive relationships.
  • Support lease negotiations and contract management to ensure all agreements are beneficial for both tenants and the property owner.
  • Oversee property maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring timely responses to maintenance issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas for improvement and uphold aesthetic standards.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement upselling strategies that enhance occupancy rates.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong office experience with a focus on administrative tasks related to real estate management.
  • Leasing experience in a multifamily housing setting.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in conflict management and customer relationship management within a property management context.
  • Familiarity with sales techniques to promote leasing opportunities effectively.
  • Previous experience in facilities management or real estate administrative roles is highly desirable.
