At NorCal Aquarium and Wildlife Adventures, we are passionate about providing our guests with unforgettable experiences while fostering a fun and educational environment for all. We are currently seeking a dedicated Guest Services/Cashier to join our team and help create a welcoming atmosphere for our visitors.

- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service to all guests.
- Promote and sell memberships, premium animal interactions, gift shop products, birthday parties, and other services.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Assist with daily operational tasks, such as inventory checks, cleaning, and special events, as needed.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier area, ensuring products are stocked and displayed.
- Handle customer concerns with patience and empathy, striving for the best possible resolution.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and performance targets.
- Help in-store visual merchandising and displays to enhance product visibility.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and store policies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or retail is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or retail experience is a plus.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for creating memorable experiences for others.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of guests.
- Customer-focused with a passion for helping others.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on sales and upselling.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take initiative.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as needed.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
