Overview
We are seeking an Asbestos Abatement & Reconstruction Project Manager to oversee environmental remediation projects from initial assessment through full reconstruction. This role focuses heavily on asbestos removal, abatement compliance, building restoration, and coordinating field crews and subcontractors. The ideal candidate brings strong regulatory knowledge (EPA, IDPH, OSHA), excellent client communication skills, and experience managing fast-paced remediation projects.
Key Duties
Lead asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, and reconstruction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate site assessments, sampling, and documentation to ensure full regulatory compliance
- Prepare scopes, budgets, schedules, and project plans for abatement and build-back work
- Oversee field teams, subcontractors, and daily project operations
- Communicate with clients, insurance reps, consultants, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure proper permitting, notifications, and safety protocols (EPA, IDPH, OSHA)
- Manage project reports, air monitoring results, waste manifests, and closeout documents
- Support reconstruction activities including estimating, scheduling, and contractor coordination
Experience Needed
- Proven experience in asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, or restoration/construction
- Strong understanding of EPA, OSHA, and IDPH asbestos regulations and permitting
- Background in reconstruction or build-back work following remediation
- Ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and client relationships
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
