Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Rocky Hill, CT for a Hub Manager II. The Hub Manager II will oversee daily hub operations, manage and coordinate staff, ensure compliance with safety and company policies, and optimize the logistics process. This includes monitoring hub performance, troubleshooting logistical issues, and maintaining communication with both internal teams and external partners.


Schedule: M-F; 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, Hours may vary based on Customer Needs

Pay Range: $76,000.00 to $84,835.00


Job Responsibilities:

· Plan, manage and evaluate operations supporting internal/external stakeholders, suppliers, transportation drivers (W2 and Independent Contractors).  

· Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.

· Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.

·Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency.

· Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria.

· Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.

· Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others.

· Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities

· Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports

· Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies to ensure system reconciliation.

· Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements

· Interpret trends, analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements

· Manage reporting and KPI metrics to drive an effective operation.

Qualifications:

 

Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams toward achieving project goals. Skilled in delegating tasks effectively, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative, respectful team environment.

Strong Communication Skills: Able to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization. Proficient in delivering information through various channels, including meetings, email correspondence, and presentations, while tailoring messaging to suit different audiences and stakeholders.

Analytical Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to assess challenges, think critically, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to support business success.

Risk Management Expertise: Experienced in identifying potential risks, analyzing impacts, and developing proactive strategies to mitigate them. Adept at creating contingency plans to ensure project continuity and compliance.

Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks. Comfortable working with project tracking systems, compliance software, and other related tools to support operational efficiency.


Skills:

Organizational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain well-structured project documentation. Skilled at coordinating time, resources, and personnel to ensure projects stay on track and deliverables are met on schedule.

Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable navigating change and adjusting to evolving project scopes, shifting timelines, and resource reallocation. Able to remain focused and productive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Emotional Intelligence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and manage emotions—both personally and within teams. Effective in building rapport, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a positive, collaborative work culture.

Educational Background: At least High School Diploma or GED

Industry Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience within the industry or a related compliance/project coordination environment.

Analytical Mindset: Ability to embrace complexity, think critically, and offer thoughtful, practical solutions.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools or platforms.

Effective Communication: Clear, concise, and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
