Senior Accountant

Yzer Managed Services is looking for a Senior Accountant that is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial records. This role performs complex accounting tasks, including, journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close processes, and may support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects. The Senior Accountant ensures compliance with GAAP and internal policies, supports audits, and may assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. This position collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to support overall financial health and decision-making.

Location: 12470 Telecom Dr. Ste 520W Tampa, FL 33637 (Onsite)

Pay Scale: $70K to $80K

Hours: 40 standard M-F, however additional hours can be necessary based on customer needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare recurring and nonrecurring journal entries and supporting schedules, including accruals, prepaids, depreciation, payroll and other assigned entries.

• Investigate and explain significant account and P&L variances

• Prepare and review assigned balance sheet reconciliations, research reconciling items and ensure timely resolution.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and variance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances and investigate differences.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Maintain documentation for accounting procedures and controls

• Assist with ERP system upgrades or implementations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

• 3 years of progressive accounting experience

• Experience with month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting

• Prior experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment is preferred

• Experience with audit preparation or supporting external audits.

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Organizational and time management skills.

• Industry-specific and multi-entity accounting experience (e.g., transportation, last-mile delivery).
