Position Summary: Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors create energy and motivation to support a YWCA member's journey through wellness at the YWCA. They help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members to access wellness and achieve their goals. Candidates may apply to provide services as a Personal Trainer, a Group Fitness Instructor, or both. Personal Trainers and Group Instructors operate as independent contractors.

Expanded Service Opportunities
- In addition to personal training and standard class instruction, roles for specialized movement instruction and educational workshops are also available for interested contractors.
Operational Contract Requirements
Contractors must log hours of service, report participant attendance, and regularly respond to emails from YWCA staff regarding schedule logistics.
Required Skills
- Excellent punctuality for the precise start and end of scheduled sessions.
- Adaptability in scheduling sessions and class times.
Education Requirements and Ongoing Professional Development Opportunities:
- Current Accredited Personal Training Certification
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or immediately attainable
- The YWCA offers professional development opportunities for ongoing learning and growth of trauma-informed skills and best practices.
Working Conditions: Offer instruction in fitness classes that require physical activity for more than an hour at a time.
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hour contract rate based on experience, certifications, and role.
